We are the leading voice for ending domestic violence in Washington state. As a coalition of 70+ shelter and domestic violence (DV) programs, we are a powerful, effective voice with a national reputation for innovation, excellence, and coalition-building. We also engage survivors, victim advocates, and community members to take action, shape public opinion, build strong and effective services, develop leadership, and prevent violence in our communities. We do this by: Providing support and professional training to 2,500+ victim advocates annually; Piloting new creative solutions to longstanding problems like homelessness; Advocating for laws and public policy on behalf of survivors; Educating the public that domestic violence in preventable and providing prevention materials and education targeted toward youth, immigrants, and other populations; Providing leadership to the field, through violence prevention and building the movement to end domestic violence.
