For 26 years Theater Schmeater has been an all volunteer organization of committed and talented theater artists. Historically, we've produced 6 main stage shows a year, a free-for-the-family park show, and have served as host to many special events including original play-readings. Our focus on developing future audiences includes providing free admission to youth 18 and under to all Main Stage shows, as well as Thursday evening pay-what-you-can admission and pay-what-you-can Industry nights and off-night programming. Our 26th Season is "The Theater for All People" Showcasing "Swallow", "The Country Wife", "Welcome to Arroyo's", "She Kills Monsters, "PInnochio" (FREE family Park Show), "2 Sisters and a Piano", and "Twilight Zone: Live!" on our mainstage, and "Shakespeare's Lost Mixtape" (part of Seattle Celebrates Shakespeare), "The Grey City" (Original Twilight Zone episodes by local playwrights), "Bibliophilia Storytelling Festival" (a co-production with Word Lit Zine), and "I and You" (a co-production with Pratidhwani), "The Young Playwrights Festival" and more on our offnights or as co-productions. Our vision is to produce intimate, quality theater that drives conversation and human connection through shared experiences. Viva la Schmee!
