Team Survivor Northwest

Team Survivor Northwest (TSNW) believes in the power of fitness to improve women's lives after a cancer diagnosis. Our belief is backed by research, science and women who have walked through our doors. Fitness and an active lifestyle not only improve outcomes but empower women survivors to feel better and thrive.

Team Survivor Northwest provides fitness and health resources at no or low cost to women of the Puget Sound area who have been diagnosed with cancer. Since its inception more than 20 years ago, TSNW has helped thousands of women cancer survivors to not just survive, but thrive. We serve all women, with any type of cancer diagnosis, at any fitness and skill level, without regard to race, age, color, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, physical or mental disability or religion. Membership is free. We facilitate and lead a variety of programs, including certified instructor classes in seven communities throughout the Puget Sound area, walking and hiking opportunities, dragon boating, triathlon training, and mountain hiking. TSNW also offers unique opportunities for fitness and self-care, including an annual fitness retreat, snowshoeing, biking and a 5K walk. All donations made via GiveBIG in 2018 will help TSNW underwrite its overnight retreat for female cancer survivors, which will be held at Islandwood, a retreat center on Bainbridge Island. GiveBIG donations will allow TSNW to keep the costs of the retreat at a reasonable level so that we can serve as many survivors as possible who would like to attend. TSNW's GiveBIG goal for 2018 is $12,000.
