Soulumination was founded by local Seattle photographer Lynette Huffman Johnson, who began photographing families and children over 25 years ago. After experiencing the loss of her best friend's baby Janus, and agreeing to photograph her own niece Lanie, who was stillborn, these two children were the driving force behind Soulumination. Since its inception in 2005, Soulumination has grown from one photographer to its current 60 professional volunteer photographers. We serve families primarily in the greater Puget Sound area and Washington state, but are happy to assist in connecting families with photographers across the US. Our goal is to celebrate and honor these special lives, no matter how long or short, by providing beautiful, professional-quality photographs, free of charge, as a loving and lasting legacy.
