Short Run Seattle

Short Run focuses on the medium of comics as a coalescence of art and literature. We believe in the intimate experience of holding a book in your hands. That's why we highlight artists from the Pacific Northwest and around the world who make indie comix and self-published, small press, and handmade books of all kinds. We want to ensure that Seattle is considered a destination for small press artists, and a percolator of comics genius.

Founded in 2011, Short Run Seattle has grown from a one-day comics festival to a year-round nonprofit arts organization. Its leadership includes two co-directors, Kelly Froh and Eroyn Franklin, who are both comic artists, writers, and teachers; a Board of Directors consisting of 5 incredibly engaged people, 9 Advisory Board members with special knowledge and skills, and our team of loyal volunteers. Short Run was awarded its first NEA ArtWorks grant in 2016 and has been consistently supported by local granting organizations such as 4Culture, The Seattle Office for Arts & Culture, The Seattle Arts Commission, The Norcliffe Foundation, Tulalip Cares, and Humanities Washington.
