You are inspiring greater community support of healing so more adults who have carried the burden of childhood sexual abuse too long will find the chance for healing with your gift the Hope In Healing Scholarship Fund!

A special thank you also to our Special Advocates and every person who supports Shepherd's so another survivor of childhood sexual abuse can begin healing and reclaim their life.
We unite to create a safe place to achieve a crucial mission: to restore the hope and dignity of adults who have been sexually abused in childhood through specialized and affordable therapy, community education, and public advocacy. Shepherd's Counseling Services has been helping adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse reclaim their lives with the guidance of specialized therapists since 1987. Finding a safe place for healing, each week 75-100 people receive individual or group therapy services for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse or for partners of survivors. Shepherd's clientele is 40% male and 60% female, with a strong representation of the LGBTQ community, and racial demographics similar to the King County population. Half of the clients served are from low- to very low-income households. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale, in addition to accepting insurance plans and offering a need-based scholarship program. Being funded by individuals and private foundations affords a unique opportunity as a community organization to combine therapeutic approaches utilizing the latest research and providing the length of therapy needed for each survivor's healing process. "Did it save my life? Possibly. But what is even more important to me is that I found a life worth living that I hadn't even known was possible." - Paige
