Secular Jewish Circle of Puget Sound

The Secular Jewish Circle of Puget Sound (SJC) brings people together to celebrate Jewish culture and heritage in a non-religious, humanistic setting. We recognize our Jewish roots and values through non-theistic celebrations of holidays, life-cycle events, greater community involvement, social justice activities, & educational programs for all ages. We have a robust Sunday school and successful Bnei Mitzvah program that educate children in the culture, values, and history of the Jewish people.

SJC aims to preserve and strengthen connections with the heritage of the Jewish people in a way that is meaningful to Jews today. SJC is the only secular Jewish community in the Puget Sound area and is an affiliate of the Society for Humanistic Judaism. Our inter-generational community includes Jewish, interfaith and multi-cultural individuals, couples, families, gay men, and lesbians, who share the desire to explore Jewish identity, history, and culture in a positive, non-theistic setting. Children enrolled in the Sunday school program learn Jewish culture, history, values, and traditions, and partake in humanistic Jewish Bnei Mitzvah.
