As an independent, Jesuit-endorsed, Catholic middle school, Seattle Nativity School was established in 2012 and accepted its first 6th grade class for the 2013-14 school year. Seattle Nativity School serves low-income students in grades 6-8, as a co-educational, tuition-free institution with 15-20 students per grade who qualify for the free and reduced National School Lunch Program. Seattle Nativity's mission is aligned with Catholic identity standards and the Jesuit charism of social justice, pursuing collaboration and companionship with our families and community partners. Enrollment is not limited to Catholics or Christians, since our commitment is to helping under-served students close the widening achievement gap in Central and South Seattle.
