Page Ahead Children's Literacy Program is the leading provider of children's books and literacy services in Washington State, giving more than 190,000 new books to children in need every year.

We are dedicated to helping children in need succeed in school by developing strong reading skills. Page Ahead serves children, families, and communities - with new books for children; literacy support for families; and reading resources for communities.

Since 1990, Page Ahead has given 3 million new books to 900,000 children through collaborations with schools, social service agencies, preschools, and early childhood centers across Washington State. Page Ahead is proud to have received the Washington State Afterschool Hall of Fame Award for leadership and innovation in afterschool programs.
Comic Relief/Red Nose Day USA has selected Page Ahead to receive a matching grant challenge for GIVEBIG 2018! Page Ahead will receive a $1:$1 match from Comic Relief/Red Nose Day USA, if donors will donate to Page Ahead on GIVEBIG day 2018 equalling $5,000. That means if our supporters each donate $50 or above to reach $5,000 on May 9th, each dollar will be matched!

Comic Relief's vision is to create a just world free from poverty. Red Nose Day began 30 years ago in the United Kingdom with a mission to drive positive change through the power of entertainment. To date, Red Nose Day has raised over $1 billion globally and over $100 million in the United States in its first three years. Red Nose Day USA is dedicated to ending child poverty by helping low-income children in the US and some of the poorest communities around the world access programs that keep them safe, healthy and educated. It does this by building effective partnerships with and providing grants to nonprofit organizations that share their vision and purpose.

Red Nose Day will be celebrated in America on Thursday, May 24, 2018, with an evening of entertainment and fundraising on NBC. The Red Nose Day Fund raises money through the purchase of Red Noses and direct donations. A part of these funds will be used to provide the match to your GIVEBIG 2018 efforts.
