With events like Career Days, Pianos In The Parks, and Bumbershoot's essential character programming, One Reel fuels Seattle civic pride through signature experiences that foster growth and development in our community and the arts. Your donations support:

Career Days invite young people to discover and explore careers within Seattle's diverse creative sectors, including Literary Arts, Visual Arts, Film, and Music. These free-to-attend, one-day events provide young people ages 16 - 24 direct access to industry professionals through networking, experiential learning, engaging conversations, and performances.

Your gift brings communities together to create the surprise and joy of experiencing art pianos in parks. Your support provides artists with the opportunity to create an art piano, a form of public art. Rachel Sprague, creator of the cephalopod piano that appeared at Carkeek Park in 2017 shares: "Being a scientific illustrator, working with natural forms, it was very special to see the piano exist out in nature. To see the public interacting with the piano was really unique and satisfying." Pianos in the Parks is a public-private partnership that uses the power of art and music to invite neighbors near and far to discover parks, connect with the people in the community and have some fun along the way.

Your donation can give the gift of the Bumbershoot experience to underserved youth and their families. This program is made possible through patrons like you and through partnerships with Art with Heart, Arts Corps, Totem Star, and Umoja Peace Center.

"Arts Corps would like to thank every individual who donates toward tickets on the behalf of these deserving families. It's encouraging to know that we have allies in our desire to provide access to the transformative power of the arts.
-Tina LaPadula, Arts Corps Education Director
Donors to GiveBIG will receive a personal inviation to Pianos In The Parks to be held in July 2018.
