Northwest Sustainable Energy for Economic Development

Northwest SEED creates communities powered by locally controlled clean energy.

Whether working with rural farmers to deliver energy efficiency workshops, designing a community solar program for a municipal utility, or helping a Seattle neighborhood chart a clean energy plan, Northwest SEED activates communities to collectively work towards a cleaner, healthier environment for generations to come.

We support the development of clean energy solutions for individuals and organizations around King County and the Pacific Northwest, as we believe community investments in clean energy move us toward a vital post-carbon economy and cleaner environment. Northwest SEED's services inform and empower individuals with diverse incomes, cultural backgrounds, and lifestyles to address climate change through accessible information and action. Whether working with rural farmers to deliver energy efficiency workshops, designing a community solar program for a municipal utility, or helping a Seattle neighborhood chart a clean energy plan, Northwest SEED activates communities to collectively work towards a cleaner, healthier environment for generations to come. Over the past 16 years we have served over 100 communities, implemented 50 clean energy projects and powered over 950 households with solar energy. Our bottom-up approach is paving the way for a clean energy revolution, community by community.
