The Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) is a collaborative effort between the US Forest Service Northwest Avalanche Center and the non-profit Northwest Avalanche Center. The two organizations work together to provide daily mountain weather and avalanche forecasts, maintain a system of mountain weather stations and provide free avalanche education for everyone recreating in the mountains in the winter.
