New Beginnings

New Beginnings empowers survivors and mobilizes community awareness and action to end domestic violence. With over 40 years of established history, New Beginnings has become a leading force in the movement to end domestic violence and has grown to include a full range of services for survivors. On average, New Beginnings serves over 10,000 women, children, and men each year through one of our programs.

We address the needs of domestic violence survivors - from those fleeing a life-threatening home to those rebuilding their lives. A Help Line is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. New Beginnings also has a Community Advocacy Program, a Shelter, and a Transitional Housing Program. Our services include one-on-one advocacy for adults and children, support and parenting groups, legal advocacy, mental health therapy, violence prevention education in schools, community outreach and trainings, and referrals to other community resources.
