Our mission is to inspire a smarter world through great storytelling that creates conversations, providing compelling and meaningful programming to the public. KCTS 9 reaches more than 2.3 million viewers and 2 million web visitors across Washington state and Canada.

ON AIR: Public media leads the way in helping children to learn in a safe and trusted environment. Families enjoy educational programming such as Daniel Tiger and Peg + Cat. KCTS tackles complex issues through conversations on Borders and Heritage, Earthfix, and Race, Justice, and Democracy. KCTS 9 offers quality, thought-provoking programming, including Masterpiece, NOVA, Nature, Antiques Roadshow, Frontline, PBS NewsHour, and Finding Your Roots.
ONLINE: KCTS 9 offers all local programs, and may national series, on-air and online. Visitors to KCTS9.org may view our content on any mobile platform, receive personalized recommendations, and access our community events calendar.
IN THE COMMUNITY: Each year, thousands of community members attended free KCTS 9 events, ranging from meet-and-greets with Daniel Tiger to preview screenings of Victoria and The Vietnam War, to panel discussions with PBS luminaries, like Ken Burns.
