Since its inception in 1973, Issaquah Community Services has provided emergency funds for those in need along with resource information about other outreach organizations in the community.  Our trained volunteers are able to direct individuals and families to meals programs, food banks, medical assistance, senior assistance and additional emergency services.  Primarily, we serve low income families, disabled individuals and others that experience a financial or basic need crisis and often have no where to turn.  We serve the unemployed and the working poor and households experiencing a unique emergency that threatens their ability stay in their residence.  One of our goals is to insure that everyone has the opportunity to access a safe shelter and/or maintain a roof over their head and that there are adequate utilities available.  An important aspect of our client interviews is to offer opportunities to develop a plan for the future.
