The Center for Wooden Boats Board of Trustees
The Center for Wooden Boats is a hands-on maritime museum where visitors, members and volunteers get involved to learn skills, support programs, teach classes and care for the boats. At its heart, CWB is a community within a community, where diverse groups of people join together to celebrate and share culture, skills and experiences using traditional small wooden craft.

Here, wooden boats are our medium to bring people together and facilitate enriching experiences. We provide access without barriers in a respectful, inclusive gathering place at the water's edge. Entry is free, and many programs offer grant-funded "pay what you can" financial support.

CWB changes lives by:
-Empowering kids with opportunities to build confidence and self-reliance at the helm of their own vessel.
-Challenging under-served youth with opportunities to join, contribute and take on responsibilities.
-Opening up minds to the possibilities of water-based recreation and vocation.
-Strengthening society by connecting diverse groups of people around a common sense of purpose: to sustain the community, its boats, and the enriching experiences they enable.
