Our vision is to provide equitable, dynamic and responsive recreation and lifelong learning programs for every Seattle resident.

The Associated Recreation Council is the 501(c)(3) partner of Seattle Parks and Recreation. Together, we create a space where children, teens, families and adults can come together to learn, create and grow through athletics, the arts, education, and

ARC provides programming for 26 Community Centers, 8 Pools, a Tennis Center and 3 Environmental Learning Centers throughout
Seattle. In addition, ARC runs: 3 Citywide Programs - Athletics, Lifelong Recreation (Senior Programs) and Specialized Programs (special needs population); 3 Small Craft Programs - Green Lake, Mt. Baker and Seattle Kayak & Canoe; and 5 RecTech computer labs at the Delridge, South Park, Rainier, Rainier Beach and Yesler community

We are particularly proud to represent the voice of the community and inject that voice into the programs we offer citywide. Programs and services are designed to be responsive to community needs, as expressed through the 37 Advisory Councils made up of volunteers representing their own neighborhood or local community.
