Artist Trust

Artist Trust is dedicated to helping Washington State artists of all disciplines thrive. Since 1986, we've invested over $10 million in critical funding, training, and resources that meet the changing needs of the individual artist. We are deeply rooted in values of artistic, cultural, and geographic diversity, and we are committed to upholding and expanding artistic excellence and creative communities.

OUR GOAL
Each year, Artist Trust provides awards of $1,500 to 60 artists for the development, completion, or presentation of new work in any discipline through our Grants for Artist Projects (GAP). Check out some of our recent GAP awardees in the video and photos above! Our 2018 GiveBIG goal is to fund ten GAP awards, for a total of $15,000.

In a divisive political climate, and under constant threat of changes to federal arts funding, the role of individual artists is more important than ever. Artist Trust is proud to support Washington artists in their vital work reflecting and challenging our culture, provoking dialogue, and galvanizing community. But we can't do it without you. This support depends on the generosity of individual donors like you, and we hope you can help us make our last GiveBIG the best one yet!

MORE ABOUT US
Support | We provide direct support: grants that invest in artists at crucial points in their careers; classes and webinars teach the business of being an artist, from financial management to marketing and social media; and online resources specifically for artists about employment, healthcare, housing, and other vital needs.
Connect | We help artists connect with other artists, gatekeepers, and supporters through events and networking opportunities, and provide tools to create community and build audience in the Northwest and beyond.
Advocate | We listen to what artists need and advocate with them locally and nationally. An annual artist survey and town halls throughout the year help us discover and make visible current issues impacting the livelihoods of working artists across Washington State.
Special thanks to our Board of Trustees and friends for your generous matching funds. We are grateful for your leadership through GiveBIG and always.
Additional thanks to you, our GiveBIG donors, for your continued support of Washington artists. We are always grateful for your generosity on this day of giving, and we are glad to have you as part of our Artist Trust community, on GiveBIG and beyond.
