Located on 230 acres, minutes from the downtown Seattle core, the Arboretum is a highly treasured, widely used community asset, as well as a horticultural, environmental, recreational, and cultural resource for the region. The Arboretum Foundation supports essential operations and activities at the Arboretum, including maintenance, seasonal gardeners, volunteer recruitment, children's education, collection restoration, and capital projects. It also manages fundraising, events, and volunteers for the Seattle Japanese Garden in the Arboretum.
