AGE UP / The South End Ultimate Program

All Girl Everything Ultimate Program (AGE UP) / South End Ultimate Program (SUP) invests in the transformative capacity of youth living in South Seattle, especially young women of color. We empower future leaders, expand opportunities for personal growth, and bridge cultural, socioeconomic, and geographic divides. Our community is built around a love for Ultimate Frisbee, and our ties are strengthened through a commitment to social justice.

AGE UP / SUP is all about community building, youth leadership, adult allies, collective learning, social justice, healing, anti-oppression work, home-cooked meals, and lots of Ultimate Frisbee. We run winter leadership programs focused on undoing sexism, elementary school clinics, hat tournaments, and support coaching at high school and middle school programs in Seattle's Southend. We use the positive influence of sports to create a space where young people of all different backgrounds are comfortable sharing, learning and having fun.

We believe Ultimate is an especially effective tool to support youth development. Because Ultimate is self-officiated, all players must make their own calls and resolve them with their opponents through a structured conflict resolution process. The philosophy of "Spirit of the Game" guides this process, placing a heavy emphasis on sportsmanship, self-respect, and respect for one's opponents. These values provide the foundation for our program.
Thanks to all our generous matching donors! And shout outs to the Southend, to our partners Seattle Parks & Rec Jefferson Community Center, Five Ultimate and the broader ultimate community.
